Balconies with waterproofing membranes made of bitumen or plastic are often constructed without insulation or with thermal insulation, so that single-piece or two-piece drains are used. To safely drain tile or slab covering, drains with two drainage levels are usually installed.

Series H includes single-piece and two-piece balcony drains with factory-clamped connection sleeve for on-site connection to waterproofing membranes. As standard, Series H is manufactured from hot-dip galvanized steel with additional coating. On request, production in solid copper is also possible.

With Custom Connection Sleeve

The standard connection sleeve consists of a bitumen/EPDM compound and is delivered when no further specifications are made during ordering. On request, connection sleeves made of PVC or ECB are factory pre-assembled. An overview of available materials is included in our Aktuell 190. If a different connection sleeve is required, please specify the desired connection sleeve when ordering.

As Single and Direct Drain

The drains of Series H are available as single drain or direct drain, depending on whether the drain is installed on the top balcony or on the balconies below:

• as single drain with closed end strainer made of stainless steel
• as direct drain with ring strainer made of stainless steel for pipe penetration from above

Fire Protection A1 and R90

Hot-dip galvanized steel is fundamentally non-combustible (building material class A1). Therefore, all drains of Series H are ideally suited for preventive fire protection. When even higher fire protection requirements are demanded, special Series H fire protection direct drains have been developed that have also met the strict R90 requirements in fire tests.
