Equipotential Bonding
e.g. for LORO-X pellet filling lines
Especially with pellet filling lines, static charges may occur during filling under certain circumstances, which must be discharged, for example, via an earthing clamp.
In order to better assess the electrical continuity of push-fit pipe connections, measurements were carried out on the resistance values of pipe connections and pipework in the nominal sizes DN 40 to DN 150.
The measuring leads were connected to commercially available stainless steel band earthing clamps using the four-wire measurement method. The measurements were taken on the pipe connections and pipework from DN 40 to DN 150.
Summary assessment
The pipe connections DN 40 to DN 150 with LORO-X sealing element and with safety clamp met the requirements of the assessment criteria for a safe, low-impedance connection in the measurements carried out.
The pipework DN 40 to DN 150 has a maximum resistance of 2.22 mOhm/m.
