LORO-X Siphonic Flow Gargoyle
in the LORO-X Main-Emergency-Combi Parapet Drainage System
The LORO-X "Siphonic Flow Gargoyle" is a non-ventilated drainage system where the discharge capacity of the gargoyle to the outside is significantly increased by utilizing siphonic flow.
Despite the small nominal diameter (DN 50), a discharge can be achieved that is many times greater than the capacity of a conventional gargoyle.
The higher the "effective height" of the siphonic flow gargoyle, the higher the discharge capacity (see comparison diagram).
The measured curves for lengths of 620mm, 1620mm, 2620mm and 3620mm show different full-flow points, which are located further "to the right" the higher the effective height of the siphonic flow gargoyle.
From an effective height of 1.62m, the emergency drainage achieves more than 4.5 l/s at 75mm water height on the roof, so it is recommended to use the siphonic flow gargoyle from an effective height of 1.62m.
