LORO-X Series 43 model DUOFLUX pipe-in-pipe
Main-emergency-combination parapet drainage for commercial and residential construction in new build and refurbishment
During the energy-related refurbishment of flat roofs, in addition to the insulation the roof drainage usually also has to be brought up to the latest state of the art. This includes in particular the recalculation of the discharge capacity using current rainfall intensities and the emergency drainage onto a surface that can be flooded freely without causing damage.
Space-saving parapet drainage with spout
For residential and office buildings, the surfaces to be drained are not as large as in industrial construction, so the drainage systems can be designed to save as much space as possible. A space-saving alternative to separate main and emergency drainage is provided by the LORO-X main-emergency-combination parapet drainage systems, in which only 1 drain, 1 parapet opening and 1 downpipe are required for the combined main and emergency drainage.
Especially popular is the LORO-X DUOFLUX pipe-in-pipe parapet drainage system with integrated emergency drainage spout for roof areas up to approx. 100 m2 per system (3 l/s). The calm, externally routed silent gravity flow favours its use on trafficable areas such as terraces and roof terraces in residential and commercial construction.
Main drainage (green flow path)
In the case of normal rain, the main drainage takes place via the "lower" drain basin into the "outer" DN 100 drainpipe (green). The flow of the main drainage is diverted into the downpipe by the branch with ventilation openings. Through the ventilation openings the downpipe is fully ventilated, so that the silent gravity flow is ensured without any negative-pressure effect. Optionally, a backflow protection in the form of the LORO-X rainwater standpipe with HSÜ can be provided above the transition to the ground pipe.
Emergency drainage (red flow path)
In the event of heavy rain, the emergency drainage starts additionally via the "upper" drain basin with a long overflow edge into the "inner" DN 50 drainpipe (red). The height position of the upper drain basin takes over the function of the damming element and only drains once the critical water level on the surface to be drained is exceeded. With a small amount of damming, the emergency drainage is led directly into the open onto a surface that can be flooded without damage via the special pipe-in-pipe branch with integrated spout.
