For balconies with liquid plastic or composite waterproofing, the liquid plastic often forms the top layer, which is connected to the circumferential connection edge (adhesive flange) of the GF series.

If an additional covering follows, such as slabs on slab supports, the GF series can be extended with a raised strainer holder to the upper drainage level. This provides high flexibility even during balcony renovation.

The liquid plastic layer of 2-3 mm can be optimally worked onto the circumferential elevation along the inside of the connection edge, so that no liquid plastic accidentally enters the drain and the drainage level closes flush.

Performance verification for safe balcony drainage

LORO provides safe performance verification as a measured flow curve also for balcony drainage in the LX data sheet. In the LX data sheet, the flow can be read directly for any water height on the balcony, so that safe dimensioning is also possible for water heights below or above the nominal water height of 35 mm.

Vertical or lateral outlet

The basic bodies of the GF series are available with vertical or lateral outlet pipes, so that the piping can run either inside or below the concrete slab.

As single and direct drain

Balcony drains of the GF series are available as single drains with stainless steel end strainer for upper balconies (vertical and lateral) or as direct drains with stainless steel ring strainer for direct pipe routing of the downpipe coming from above through lower balcony floors (vertical only).

Two-piece for thermal insulation

The GF series can also be used as a two-piece drain when thermal insulation is integrated below the upper sealing level. Here, the LORO-X DRAINLET sub-unit with universal clamping flange for membranes can be used as the base body (see application example).

The LORO-X GF series includes balcony drains with connection edge (adhesive flange) for liquid plastics made of solid hot-dip galvanized steel with additional internal coating.
