LORO-X Balcony drainage Series A and B

On balconies where neither sealing membrane, liquid plastic nor waterproof concrete is present, an additional covering such as sloped screed or tiles in mortar bed is often applied on the reinforced concrete.

The drainage strainer of Series A and B is flush with this drainage level. In order to safely channel any seepage water through the covering into the drainage system, Series A and B feature circumferential seepage water openings above the supporting edge.

• Series A: With flush strainer for tolerance compensation with ready-made screed
• Series B: With height-adjustable strainer holder to bridge thicker mortar bed layers
• Series BE: Like Series B, but additionally with welded downpipe

The LORO-X balcony drains of Series A and B are available as single drains with vertical or horizontal outlet pipe, so that the pipeline can run either inside or below the concrete slab. The special supporting edge serves to fix the drain in place.

As standard, the balcony drains are supplied as complete units. However, they can also be assembled from modular sub-units (strainer units) or from individual parts for the specific application (see assembly diagram PDF).

For maximum dimensional stability and durability, Series A, B and BE are manufactured from solid steel with high-quality hot-dip galvanisation. The additional coating according to DIN EN ISO 2178 based on a 2K epoxy combination improves the behaviour when embedding in concrete with more aggressive types of concrete.
