If a pipe section without a socket remains after cutting to length, it can be supplemented into a socket pipe using the LORO-XCL double socket. The double socket should be glued onto the remaining pipe using the LORO-X sealing element and LORO-X adhesive. (In frost-prone areas, sockets directed against the flow direction, including double sockets, are not permitted)

For length compensation during pipe installation between two fixed points. The long socket provides a greater insertion depth available as length compensation.

LORO-X sealing elements made of EPDM offer good ozone resistance. Due to their grey colour, they are also suitable as design sealing elements for hot-dip galvanized downpipes.

• Suitable: Good swelling resistance with detergent solutions, ketones, dilute inorganic and organic acids, bases, alkaline and organic media, brake fluid, chlorine, esters, glycol, sodium, phosphates and soda.
• Not suitable: Poor swelling resistance with vegetable and animal oils, aliphatic, aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons, mineral oils. For fuels and oil, please use NBR.
• Temperature resistance: Continuous use from -40°C to 130°C, in hot water and steam up to 130°C.

LORO-X sealing elements made of silicone feature high temperature resistance. Silicones are not to be used in the automotive industry.

• Suitable: Gases, hot air, oxygen, vegetable and animal oils and fats, aromatics, hydraulic and brake fluid, good cold resistance, well suited for food applications, dielectric properties.
• Not suitable: High swelling with low-molecular esters and ethers, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, concentrated acids and alkalis. Hot water and steam.
• Temperature resistance: High thermal load capacity up to 180°C, resistant in water up to 100°C.

LORO-X standard sealing element made of styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) for conventional domestic wastewater and rainwater drainage. Not oil resistant.

• Temperature resistance: Up to 90°C.

LORO-X sealing elements made of NBR are primarily used in the area of oil pipelines.

• Suitable: Good swelling resistance with: aliphatic hydrocarbons (e.g.: fats, propane, inorganic acids, bases of low concentration, butane, fuel and mineral oil). Grease based on mineral oil.
• Not suitable: Polar solvents, chlorinated and aromatic hydrocarbons, oxidizing media, esters and ketones.
• Temperature resistance: From -25°C to 120°C.

LORO-X sealing elements made of Viton are resistant to high temperatures and chemicals.

• Suitable: Good swelling resistance with: mineral oil, vegetable and animal oils, fats, fuel, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, solvents, acids, weak alkalis and many chemicals.
• Not suitable: Strongly swelling with: polar solvents (e.g.: ethyl acetate, methyl ketone, acetone, diethyl ether and dioxanes), low-molecular organic acids (e.g.: formic and acetic acids), ammonia gases, amines and alkalis. Superheated steam.
• Temperature resistance: Continuous use from -20°C to 200°C.

When installing LORO-XCL stainless steel pipes with push-fit socket connection, the sealing element on the inside and the insertion pipe on the outside must be coated evenly with LORO-X lubricant. Use only original LORO-X lubricant to avoid optical and technical impairments.
