LORO-X Lubricant

When installing LORO-X steel drainage pipes with push-in socket connection, the sealing element inside and the insertion pipe outside must be fully coated with LORO-X lubricant.

Only use original LORO-X lubricant: When using commercially available lubricants for plastic pipes, the less favourable pH value (fatty acids) can cause reactions with the hot-dip galvanisation, leading to clearly visible impairments such as white rust formation in the socket area. Also, the installation of our push-in socket connection is considerably more difficult with unsuitable lubricants.

Therefore, only use original LORO-X lubricant to avoid optical and technical impairments! The manufacturers recommend a shelf life of 2 years for unopened lubricant stored frost-free.

For particularly stressed connections, e.g. for oil tank filling pipes. Before inserting the pipes into the LORO-X socket, coat the upper step of the socket and the LORO-X sealing element with original LORO-X adhesive. The manufacturers recommend a shelf life of 3 years for unopened adhesive stored cool and dry.

The socket protection cap is precisely fitted into the LORO-X socket during the construction phase to keep out contamination, flowing concrete or similar materials. After the construction phase, it is removed and disposed of.

The formwork bell (see also "bell") is pushed onto the pipe on the underside of the concrete slab during the concreting of drains or pipes. It is removed and disposed of after concreting. Through the resulting ring gap, the LORO-X socket of the downpipe can be visually hidden from below.
