LORO-X Rectangular Spout
LORO-X rectangular spouts blend optimally into the look of angular facade elements (such as clinker bricks). On request, the height and width of the spout can be adapted to the specific project. Square, rectangular or round shapes are possible, matching the facade.
Angled Cut and Overhang
Spout pipes are often provided with an angled cut, which can improve the appearance and reduce the outlet resistance. A spout overhang of 10 to 15 cm on the building is recommended to reduce residual water running down the facade.
For Parapet Emergency Drains
The popular rectangular spout for LORO-X parapet emergency drains is now available in nominal sizes DN 40, DN 50, DN 70 and DN 100. Rectangular spouts can be added to emergency drains of the series 43, 79, 89, 88 and to the VARIOKANT spout.
LORO-X rectangular spouts blend optimally into the look of angular facade elements (such as clinker bricks). The rectangular flow cross-section is matched to the round cross-section of the connected pipe, so that a high drainage rate is ensured despite the rectangular shape.
Advantages
- Ideal for clinker facades
- Made of stainless steel
- Can be shortened on site

Questionnaire
What should be considered when choosing project-specific rectangular spouts?
- What flow pattern is desired?
Drip edge
Jet formation
Jet expansion
Fan-shaped spraying / misting
- What jet throw distance is desired?
Are neighbouring properties or buildings affected by the jet?
Should the jet be directed downwards?
- Are falling noises in the deflection from the downpipe into the spout critical?
Deflection as a bend.
Hard deflection, falling jet hits the spout, stronger spray effect, broken jet, pressure loss.
Impact slope as a compromise between hard plate and soft deflection bend.
Are falling noises during emergency drainage critical when this only occurs in an "emergency"?
- Is there a cross-section reduction from downpipe to spout outlet?
If the cross-section of the spout outlet corresponds to the cross-section of the downpipe, the flow pattern is harmonized.
A cross-section reduction means a higher flow resistance.
- What performance range should the spout fulfil?
Gravity flow or siphonic flow
Pressure resistance of the pipe
Safety clamp, claw
- Is backwater in the downpipe above the spout critical?
