CE Marking

for pipe systems according to EN 1123/1124

Hot-dip galvanised LORO-X steel drainage pipes and fittings comply with European standard DIN EN 1123. LORO-XCL pipes and fittings made of stainless steel comply with European standard DIN EN 1124.

Since both pipe standards are harmonised standards, these products can be used directly throughout Europe and bear the CE marking.

These are marked on the accompanying documents such as delivery notes and reverse sides of invoices, which contain the manufacturer, year, standard, material and CE marking.

Ü-mark for drains according to EN 1253-2

The situation is different for drains that comply with European standard DIN EN 1253 Part 2.

This European standard is not harmonised at European level, so these products are not subject to CE marking. LORO-X drains are nevertheless marked with the conformity mark (also abbreviated as "Ü-mark") for the German market, which shows the standard EN 1253 Part 2, the manufacturer LORO, the year, the monitoring body TÜV and, where applicable, the load class.

LORO offers test reports from accredited laboratories (TÜV/LGA), declaration of conformity to EN 1253-2 and technical system data sheets (LX data sheets) as proof of performance for each drain and system. Special declarations of conformity can be prepared on a product-specific, project-specific or country-specific basis on request.

In a declaration of conformity, the "manufacturer of a product" declares in writing that a product or service meets the requirements of relevant standards or directives. It certifies compliance with the stated specifications, but is not a guarantee of quality or durability for an individual delivered product.

For our pipes and fittings, LORO as manufacturer issues the required Declaration of Performance (DoP) in accordance with the EU Construction Products Regulation. This forms the basis of CE marking and can be downloaded from our homepage under Approvals and Certificates.

Special case: In the area of fire protection, there is also a "declaration of conformity", which however must be issued by the installer as the "manufacturer of a penetration seal".
