Die Modelle mit Becken zeichnen sich gegenüber den Modellen ohne Eingriff ins Dach insbesondere durch eine erhöhte Abflussleistung aus.Über den Umfang der Überlaufkante des Beckens kann deutlich mehr Wasser von der Abdichtungsebene gesammelt werden. Im Becken wird relativ zum Rohr ein höherer Wasserstand erreicht, sodass mit höherem Abfluss durch das seitliche Ablaufrohr entwässert wird.Bei der Notentwässerung ist der spezielle Siebkorb im unteren Bereich geschlossen und funktioniert somit gleichzeitig als Anstauelement. Durch seine sehr große Überlaufkante wird ein hoher Abfluss bereits bei nur 15 Millimeter über der Überlaufkante ermöglicht.Das Modell mit Becken bietet somit ein ausgewogenes Verhältnis zwischen erhöhter Abflussleistung und Energiesparpotenzial durch eine geringe Eingrifftiefe ins Dach.
