LORO-X Fire protection solutions for roof drainage systems

LORO-X parapet drainage systems with no openings into the fire protection area or into the interior of the building usually satisfy fire protection requirements automatically.

LORO-X fire protection roof drainage systems with interior pipes are certified as R 90 fire protection solution as a complete system consisting of LORO-X fire protection drains, LORO-X pipes and fittings as well as LORO-X securing clamps and approved fastening clips. In the case of a mixed installation with products of other manufacturers, there will be no fire protection certification or warranty beyond the incombustible material (A1).

In the event of fire, the LORO-X parapet drainage as well as the LORO-X roof drainage remain fully functional due to the fact that no intumescent material is used.

Please contact our LORO-X service team if you have any questions!

and insignificant deviations

In principle, LORO-X fire-protection drains and LORO-X fire-protection pipe penetrations must be installed in accordance with the test assemblies of the respective AbP (general building-authority test certificate, "Allgemeines bauaufsichtliches Prüfzeugnis").

The AbP requires the installer / user to complete a corresponding declaration of conformity confirming that the installation conforms to the AbP. A template for this is included in Aktuell 86 Fire protection.

Whether a structural deviation can be regarded as a so-called "non-significant deviation" from the AbP assembly must be assessed by a qualified person and released by the client (info).

Significant deviations from the assemblies shown in the AbP must be assessed as an individual acceptance and approved separately by the client. The same applies if a "fire test" already exists for which no official AbP has yet been issued.

Pipelines are projected and mounted to be safe against fire in conformity with the Sample Line System Guideline MLAR 03/2000 that has been introduced as building codes in all of the states of Germany as the Line System Guideline (LAR) without any significant departures.

Its area of application in terms of drainage lines concerns line systems in stairwells, in rooms between necessary stairwells and exits to the outside, in necessary corridors, in open hallways before exterior building walls and conducting lines through specific walls and ceilings in buildings. The Sample Building Ordinance 2002 distinguishes various classes of buildings and different requirements are made depending upon different kinds of buildings. The Sample Building Ordinance (Section 37, Paragraph 1) states that lines may only go through firewalls, through walls pursuant to Section 28, Paragraph 1, Sentence 2 and Paragraph 4, Sentence 2, stairwell walls, walls of rooms pursuant to Section 32, Paragraph 5, Sentence 2 and through partitions and ceilings that have to be fire-resistant if it is not possible to transmit fire and smoke or precautions are taken against this. There may be certain differing regulations for F30 countries.
